OIASSO MUSEUM AND MINNIG TRAIN TO IRUGURUTZETA Languages: Basque, Spanish and French Hours: 29/03, 1-2-8/04 From 11.00 am to 13.00pm April, May, June , Setember, October and November. On Sundays from 11.00 am to 13.00pm July and August. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 17.00pm. Among the traces of mining activity that have reached to our days, stands out the calcination furnaces of Irugurutzeta, a heritage set located in the Natural park of Peñas de Aia. The mining activity in the area dates back to roman times, in other not so distant times, it was an important source of resources that left their mark on the life of Irun and its people. Following the journey made by train from the museum, the visit starts at the furnaces and continue to the mining gallery, were the work of ore extraction is explained. The visit takes one hour and a half and it finishes by visiting the museum.

Price (Tax Included): Adults 5.50€, Young People (6-14) 3.85€, Children 0-5 years old free. The adventure begins in the Oiasso Museum. From here a charming train will take the visitors to the mines of Irugurutzeta, located at the natural park called Peñas de Aia. Once there, the mine and iron ore calcination furnaces will be visited accompanied by a guide. The visit to the Museum will finish this unforgettable day.
